Bailey Library Author Book Signing
Local Author M. J. Sullivan will be available for a book signing and discussion on Wednesday, May 2nd at 9:00 a.m. Refreshments will be served.
M. J. (Michael Justin) Sullivan has been a concert guitarist, a teacher, a sailing captain and an artist. His book on Japanese swordsmanship, Sword and Psyche, led to WAZA, his first novel about Japanese Buddhism and the martial arts, which received the CoVisions Recognition Award for Literature.
He earned the name Seihō and his teacher’s license in calligraphy from Nippon Shuji Kyoiku Zaidan. He was made an Honorary Citizen of Takamatsu and one year was the nidan level swordsmanship champion of Kagawa Prefecture.
Deeply involved with Zen and Japanese culture, he paints and writes at Tōshoin (洞 書 院, Cave Writing Hall), his studio in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
