We of the Park County Public Libraries value and appreciate our wonderful volunteers. They provide us with all sorts of services and support. If you would like to volunteer, please contact your local branch librarian for specific jobs that are in line with the experience and expertise you bring to the library. Some of the possibilities are:

Volunteers entice people into the library by hosting open houses, delivering flyers and newsletters, and reviewing locally produced books.
Volunteers help with library outreach by delivering books for homebound service, maintaining deposit collections at motels, etc., writing articles for newspapers, and visiting community groups, schools and agencies.
Volunteers make the library look better by decorating, making displays, gardening, painting and cleaning. Volunteers help with manual labor by dusting, shelving, shifting, reading shelves and rearranging the furniture.
Volunteers work with library materials being acquired by sorting donations, assessing value and preparing them for book sales.
Volunteers help get materials ready to be used in the library by processing and cataloging books.
Volunteers may help with circulation desk duties.
Volunteers stamp discarded books and remove these items from the computer.
Volunteers create new book annotations for Monthly New Books List.
Volunteers provide programs such as story times, adult craft classes, children's craft classes, etc.
Volunteers use their creative talents to make signs, create posters, design booklists and bookmarks.
Volunteers may help with "feeding the masses" for programs and for bake sales.
